Badagry – For allegedly stealing a Gionee phone valued N15,000, a Badagry Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, has slammed a N50,000 bail on a 22-year-old man, Wasiu Orij on Thursday.
The accused, who has no fixed address, is standing trial on one count charge of stealing the phone belonging Yemisi Isiaka.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Ade Adeosun, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Jan. 3, at 4 p.m., at Upper Era, Ijanikin area of Lagos.
According to the prosecutor, the accused stole one Gionee phone valued N15,000 property of the complainant, Yemisi Isiaka.
Adeosun said that the accused was caught and handed over to police.
He said that the offence contravened Section 285 Criminal Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Lazarus Hotepo, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50, 000 and one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until Feb. 12, for further hearing.
