Lagos – A 22-year-old man, Ayodeji Alabi, on Thursday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly impersonating an army officer.
The accused, who resides at Shogunle, Ikeja, is facing a one-count charge of impersonation.
The prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Imhonwa, said the accused committed the offence on July 22, at 4.40 p.m., at the Arena Shopping Complex, Army Cantonment, Ikeja.
Imhonwa said that Alabi was found geared up as an army officer and presented himself as such.
“Records indicate, however, that Alabi is not a member of the Nigerian Army.
“He has consequently deceived members of the public, parading himself as a military officer within the shopping complex,’’ Imhonwa said.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
