Man, 25, docked for allegedly stabbing brother

KANO – A Shari’a Court Kano on Wednesday ordered a 25- year-old , Abba Jafaru,  be remanded prison for allegedly stabbing his brother, Isyaku Haruna.

The Police docked the accused at the court sitting at Sabon Gari, Kano for allegedly stabbing Haruna.

The accused charged for causing hurt and being possession of a dangerous weapon, an offence which contravenes Sections 124 and 231 of the Kano Sharia .[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]

According the First Information (FIR), Salisu Ismail of Rimin Kebe Quarters the case on March 31 at the Zango Police Division, Kano.

The  said that the accused stabbed his brother (Haruna) with a cutlass, on his head.

The further revealed that as a result of Jafaru’s action, he (Haruna) sustained a deep cut.

When the charges were read out the accused, he pleaded guilty.

The Judge, Malam Abubakar Ayagi, ordered the accused to be remanded in prison and adjourned the matter to April 15, for further mention.(NAN).
