Benin – The police on Monday arraigned a 26-year-old man, Osahon Enoghayin, in an Egor Magistrates’ Court for conspiring and stealing four oxygen cylinder in Benin.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Sunday Lucky, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Nov. 2.
Lucky said the accused stole four medical oxygen cylinder valued N128,000, property of University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 48 Vol. ll laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria 1976 as applicable in Edo.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs T.O. Omoruyi, granted bail to the accused in sum of N100, 000 and a surety in like sum.
Omoruyi adjourned the case till Dec. 9, for hearing. (NAN)
