Lagos – A 27-year-old man, Micheal Ogunremi, who allegedly stole his employer’s Bajaj motorcycle, worth N350, 000, was on Wednesday brought before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Ogunremi, is facing a charge of stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP Thomas Nurudeen, said that the accused committed the offence on Dec. 17, at 4.00 a.m., at Soyinka Street, Ladi-Lak, Bariga, Lagos.
Nurudeen said the accused collected the motorcycle on hire purchase from his employer, Mr Abidemi Makanjuola, promising to remit half of his income daily, until he completes the payment.
“The accused collected the motorcycle, but the next day went to the Police station to report that it had been stolen.
“Police investigation revealed that he was the one that stole the motorcycle,” the prosecutor said.

Ayeye said that the surety should be gainfully employed and show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
