LAGOS – A 29-year-old man, Wasiu Tajudeen, accused of stabbing a co-tenant with a broken bottle, was on Friday brought before an Ojokoro Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Tajudeen, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of assault occasioning grievous physical harm.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Idowu Onime, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 24 at No. 5, Alaguntan Road., Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos. [eap_ad_1] “Tajudeen had an argument with one Isah Muhammed, which led to a fight, and he stabbed the latter with a broken bottle on his left arm,” Onime said.
The offence, the prosecutor said, contravened Section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. A. Layinka, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till Sept. 19, for mention. (NAN)
