ABUJA – A 42-year-old man, Abdullahi Husseni, who allegedly touched a woman’s breast and gave her a kiss, was on Tuesday charged before a Grade 1 Area Court in Kado, Abuja.
Husseni, who lives on 69 Road, Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja, is facing a charge of assault.
The prosecutor, Mr Friday Idi, told the court that one Hauwa Abdullahi of the same address reported the case at Gwarimpa Police Station on March 11.
Idi said that the accused touched the plaintiff’s daughter, Aisha Abdullahi’s breast and kissed her without her consent.

The offence, he said, contravened Section 264 of the Penal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty.

Ruling on the bail application of the accused, the Judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, granted him bail in the sum of N10, 000 and a surety in like sum.
He said that the surety, who should be a GL 03 officer and above in the Federal Civil Service, should also reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
Further hearing in the case has been adjourned to April 13. (NAN)
