Lagos – A 52-year-old businessman was on Friday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, on allegation of obtaining N1.38 million from a client under false pretences.
The accused, Yemi Thomas, who resides at No. 25, Oshile Quarters, Akure, Ondo State, is facing a two-count charge of stealing and obtaining under false pretences.

Thomas, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O. J. Awope, granted the accused bail in the sum of N400, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till March 18 for mention. (NAN)
