Zuba (FCT)- A Zuba Upper Area Court in the FCT on Thursday remanded a 57-year-old, Ukor Fred, in prison for allegedly attempting to attack a church’s security guard.
The judge, Aminu Sa’ad, who gave the order, said the accused should be kept behind bars until next date of adjournment.
Fred, a resident of Phase 4, Kubwa, Abuja, is standing trial on a two-count charge of criminal trespass and attempted assault.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Cpl. Arziki Kaura told the court that the complainant, John Ordugh, a security guard at Living Faith Church, Kubwa Extension III had on July 26 reported the incident at Dutse Police Station.

According to him, the accused strayed into their security room under the pretext of looking for the pastor.
“Ordugh informed the accused that the pastor was not around, he intentionally locked himself inside the security guard’s room.
“When the door was forced open, the accused picked up a plank to fight the security guard.’’
The prosecutor said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 95 and 348 of the Penal Code, Laws of the Federation.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The case has been adjourned till Aug. 28 for mention. (NAN)
