Lagos – A 60-year-old man, Akinlolu Olusegun, who allegedly took photographs with his cell phone in the court premises, was on Thursday docked before before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Olusegun, who lives at Ogudu area of Lagos, was also accused of peeping into the court room when proceedings were going on.
The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, however, admitted him to bail of N100,000.
Kubeinje, while granting the bail, said that the defendant should produce two sureties in like sum.
She then adjourned the case until June 26.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Lucky Ihiehie, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 23 at about 11.00a.m. in the court premises.
Ihiehie said the defendant committed breach of peace and disregarded the court by using his Itel Android phone to take pictures of Alexanda Anofojie, who has a case in court without his consent.
He said that the defendant also committed contempt by intruding and peeping into the court room when proceedings were going on.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 104(1c) and 168 (1d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
