Enugu – The police on Thursday arraigned one Anthony Njoku before an Enugu North Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a bag of corn and other goods valued at N600,000.
The prosecution counsel, Mr Mathew Opara, told the court that the accused on March 2, 2016, at GRA Enugu, stole a bag of corn and other goods belonging to one Austine Egbo.
Opara said that the offence was contrary to the provisions of Section 415 of the Criminal Law Code of Enugu State, 2004.
The Magistrate, Mrs R.N. Obayi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N1million and one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the matter till July 27 for hearing.(NAN)
