ABUJA – The police on Thursday arraigned a 27-year-old man, James Ikwen in a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ court, Abuja, for allegedly causing public nuisance and mischief.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
The accused, a resident of old Karmo village, was reported at the Maitama Police Station by one Sgt. Ayodeji Gbenga on March17.
Gbenga told the court that on March 14, the accused drove his car, a Toyota Corolla to `load passengers’ travelling from Banex Plaza to Mpape village.
Gbenga said that he later took over the loading.

According to Gbenga, the accused demanded for N50, which he agreed to pay on return from Mpape.
He said that the accused refused, and during the argument that ensued, he broke the car’s windscreen.
Gbenga put the cost of his car’s windscreen at N25,000.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Monday Akor said during police investigation, the accused confessed to the crime.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 327 of the Penal Code Law.
The accused, however, denied committing the offence, while Senior Magistrate Christopher Uba granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.(NAN).
