KANO (Sundiata Post) – A 30-year-old man, Haruna Muhammed, was on Wednesday docked in a Kano Sharia Court in Fagge for allegedly stealing four lace fabrics worth N150,000.
Muhammed, who lives in Kurna, Rijiyar lemo Quarters, Fagge Local Government Area Kano is charged with tresspass and theft.
The Prosecution Counsel, Zahradeen Abubakar, told the court that the case was reported on March 17 at the Fagge police station by Abdullahi Faruq, the complainant who lives at Sani Mainagge Kano.
Abubakar said the defendant trespassed into the complainant’s shop and stole four lace fabrics worth N150,000.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 120 and 133 of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety who should be a blood relation.
Lawal-Abubakar adjourned the matter until April 30, for summary trial. (NAN)
