Akure – An 18-year-old man, Ismaila Ojo, was on Monday arraigned in an Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle, cash and wine, all valued at N127,000.
According to the prosecutor, ASP Pelumi Adejuwon, the accused stole an unregistered Jincheng motorcycle, valued at N65,000, property of one Mr Olaoluwa Mobi.

The accused was also alleged to have broken into the house of one Mr Emmanuel Ogbode, where he stole N60,000 cash and a bottle of red wine valued at N2,000.
The prosecutor told the court that Ojo committed the crimes on Aug. 20 at about 2:30 a.m. at No.29 Odokoyi St. and No.38 Isolo St., both within the Akure metropolis.
He said that the offences were contrary to and punishable under Sections 390 (9) and 413(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol.1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges of stealing and house breaking.
The trial judge, Sunday Adedapo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 ,with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till Sept.10 for mention. (NAN)
