Man who trekked for Buhari in 2015 gets car, N2m after five years

Governor Inuwa Yahaya presented a car and cash gift N2 million to Dahiru Buba trekked from to Abuja in celebration President Buhari’s victory in 2015.

Mr Buba, 50, reported to have developed limb from the solidarity walk he undertook to celebrate the first term victory the president and called the and to come to aid.

The governor’s media aide Ismaila Misilli noted in a statement that Buba taken to the House clinic for diagnosis from where he referred to a orthopaedic hospital where he examined and placed medication.

He later met with the governor at the governor’s lodge in Abuja.


“For taking the pains and risks to show solidarity with Mr President and great party, people like Buba be neglected,” the governor said.

“By embarking on that solidarity trek, Dahiru Buba had shown patriotism and support, he therefore be appreciated and encouraged.”

He added that the cash gift was also to enable the driver purchase a house within locality since he has yet to own one.

In , an emotional Buba thanked the president and the governor for recognising him and coming to his aid.
