Manchester United Eye Summer Move For Ronaldo
They are ready to offer Pogba or David De Gea plus cash to Real Madrid
United manager Jose Mourinho wants Ronaldo in his squad next season Premier League giants Manchester United are desperate to bring back Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford this summer.
The Portugal talisman left Old Trafford in 2009 in an £80m deal after six stunning seasons with the Red Devils. But in recent months, the 33-year-old has been tipped for a return to the Premier League, and Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho is now said to be interested in signing him.
According to the report by Don Balon, Jose Mourinho is willing to give up Paul Pogba or David De Gea in a player-plus-cash deal this summer. The report also stated that Manchester United will offer Real Madrid £87m (€100m) and Pogba or De Gea in a mammoth swap deal. Ronaldo is said to be demanding a bumper pay rise to stay at the Bernabeu, otherwise he’s willing to quit La Liga. But it is not yet clear if Real Madrid would want to sell Cristiano Ronaldo this summer considering his superb performances this term.
Although Ronaldo started the season unimpressive, he later found his rich vein of form most especially in the Champions League.
Ronaldo helped Los Blancos defeat Paris-Saint-Germain in the Champions League knock out stage scoring in the two games. He was again on target on Tuesday, April 3, as he scored two goals which condemned Juventus to a 3-0 defeat in front of their fans.
