Mayowa Adenrele, who made her debut with ‘Polongo’, is a gospel artist, who was introduced and influenced by music from her growing-up years as a chorister. Her musical career took off at the age 16 when she joined the choir in her family church in Lagos. She was subsequently tutored by her mother, who was a lead singer in the same church and was also inspired by Juanita Bynum. Consequently she decided that the expression and fulfilment derived from the stage was one that was inexplicable.

Her musical skills have been harnessed over the years and her role as a worship leader in The Fountain of Life Church constantly touches lives. In the words of Pastor John Odukoya of The Fountain of Life Grace Springs Church, Maryland, USA, “Mayowa’s worship is contagious.”
She has led a 10-man band, known as ‘Springmusic’, for about 11 years and has performed at over 200 events both on local and international platforms, including conferences, weddings, birthdays, burials and many more.
Her delight is to keep you on your feet dancing and being merry. This has turned out to be a medium by which she now expresses her God-given talents. Her fan base continues to grow among the public in Nigeria and overseas.
She released the debut album in July 2009, with material in the works to be circulated in the near future. She has dropped several singles and just released a single video titled “Worthy” – in February 2015.
She resides in Lagos with her husband Femi, and they are blessed with three sons.
