The Federal Government says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to take a final decision on the new minimum wage agreed with the organised labour.
Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, stated this while addressing journalists on Monday, saying the decision may be reached on Thursday, July 18.
The minister assured that Tinubu was not averse to increasing the national minimum wage but was being careful so as not to plunge the country into an unimaginable inflationary trend.
He said the President will be meeting with the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, on Thursday before deciding on an amount that would be forwarded to the National Assembly.
