The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN in the Southeast, says it will always promote peace with their host Communities
The Chairman of the group in Southeast, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, said Thursday that they were committed to delivering on their promise of peace and unity in in the zone
Siddiki spoke Thursday in Awka, Anambra State as part of his message to Igbo, during the 2020 celebration of Eid el -Maulud to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed.
According to him, “under my watch in the South East, Miyetti Allah will continue to promote the peace among the Cattle Breeders and their host communities.
“We remain fully committed to delivering on our promise of peace and unity in this area of Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States.”
He called on all Nigerians including the Muslims and indeed all Igbo to share with one another and spread the virtues of peace, love and charity which the Holy Prophet represented
Siddiki urged Nigerians, especially Muslim faithful to use the celebration as a period of sober reflection after the #EndSARS incident .
The protest, he said, led to wanton vandalization, looting and destruction of private and public properties by hoodlums who operated under the guise of #EndSARS peaceful protest and other numerous challenges facing the country.
“I urge all Muslims to continue to follow the exemplary leadership of the noble Prophet Mohammed for a peaceful and egalitarian society.
“Prophet Mohammed lived a complete life worthy of emulation by all; anybody who imbibes such exemplary leadership style will enjoy the essence of life.
“I therefore, call on the people of Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi States to live in peace and harmony with their visitors for the interest of one Nigeria.
“I wish Nigeria, particularly our Muslim brothers and sisters, joyful celebrations during the holiday as I also pray for the warmth of Allah’s love to fill every Nigeria home,” Siddiki stated.
