London – The total death toll in the Syrian conflict now stands at more than 270,000, a monitoring group says.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday in London, that it has documented 271,138 deaths since mass protests against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad broke out in March 2011.
It revealed in its report that of the 270,000, 122,997 of them were civilians.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
The Observatory also said that US-led airstrikes against extremist groups have killed a total of 4,435 people, including 366 civilians, since they were launched in September 2014. (dpa/NAN)
