More than 15,000 cases, 399 deaths: COVID-19 situation worsens as NCDC reports 627 new infections

ABUJA (SundiataPost) – The COVID-19 pandemic is defying all measures to reduce its continued spread in Nigeria with the confirmed cases crossing the 15,000 mark.
According to update released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 In Nigeria is 15,181. This includes 627 new cases reported on Friday.
In addition, the number of deaths resulting from the virus is 399 while  4,891 patients have been discharged.
