RABAT  – Morocco’s economic growth fell to 1.4 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2016, slowing from 1.7 percent in the previous three months, due to a severe drought that hit the agricultural sector, the planning agency said on Friday.

The agency expects Moroccan gross domestic product (GDP) growth to slow further to 1.2 percent in the third quarter of the year.(Reuters)
