Mother of Sylva’s running mate regains freedom

Yenagoa  –  Madam Ebifieghe Igiri, 105, mother of Wilberforce Igiri, running-mate to Timipre Sylva in the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa, has regained freedom from kidnppers.
Police Public Relations Officer in Bayelsa, ASP Asinim Butswat, told newsmen in Yenagoa that the woman was released by her captors on Nov. 9 at about 10p.m.

“She was released at Ayama Waterside, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa; she is hale and hearty and has since been reunited with her family.
“Efforts have been intensified to arrest the abductors; investigation is ongoing”, he said.
NAN recalls that Igiri was kidnapped from her hometown, Foropa, Southern-Ijaw Local government Area, Bayelsa on Oct. 29. (NAN)
