few hours with their mother, as long as Blanchette’s mother was also present.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
During one of those visits, Blanchette’s mother left the house on an errand. [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
Police said Blanchette drowned the two younger children in the bath while her mother was out.
A coroner said the youngest died of a combination of drowning and strangulation.
Blanchette reportedly weighed only 36 kilos when she died.
She had been hospitalized on Dec. 19 in failing health because she refused to eat.
Prison officials initially ordered Blanchette to be force-fed through a feeding tube, but changed their mind after her lawyers said that was against her will. (dpa/NAN)
