Abuja, – The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, on Monday prayed for the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.
Mrs Buhari prayed for the country after performing two raka’at prayers at the Ansarudden Eid Ground, Abuja.
She enjoined Muslims in the country to always imbibe the good virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
She also prayed for the successful return of some the internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their various homes in the North East.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Ansarudden, Sheikh Musa Olaofe, prayed for the successful return of the Chibok School girls.
Olaofe urged Nigerians to support the present administration in its effort to rid the country of the current economic challenges.
Meanwhile, the wives of the Service Chiefs had paid Sallah homage on Mrs Buhari.
Those in attendance are the wife of the Inspector-General of Police, Mrs Asma’u Ibrahim Idris and that of the Chief of Defence Staff, Mrs Omobolanle Olonishakin.
Others are the wife of the Chief of Naval staff, Mrs Theresa Ekot Ibas and the APC Deputy National Women Leader, Mrs Tina Adike.
