ABUJA (SundiataPost) – The First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has welcomed all new born babies that arrived in the early hours of the new year at the different hospitals across the nation.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Mrs. Jonathan particularly congratulated all the mothers in Nigeria who brought forth bundles of joy into the New Year.
She prayed that the birth of the new babies will bring the much desired peace, development and growth to Nigeria.
The First Lady urged the mothers to resolve to be stronger peace makers and bridge builders in the New Year.

She also advised mothers to bring up their children in the way of the Lord and strengthen family bond.
Mrs. Jonathan reminded the women to be active participants in the forthcoming elections by registering and collecting their permanent voters cards to enable them elect credible candidates of their choice.
The First Lady wished all Nigerians a happy, peaceful and a prosperous New Year.
