ABUJA (SUNDIATA POST)- Mr Isa Abba, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities has commiserated with members of disability community over the death of Comrade Bala Tsoho.
Tsoho, the Principal of Abuja Rehabilitation Centre, Kuchiko, Bwari Area Council, FCT was reportedly found dead on Friday night inside the centre.
It was gathered that the deceased’s lifeless body was found alongside his wheelchair.
A source had told newsmen that a piece of wood, believed to have been used to hit his head, was found at the scene, while two of his mobile phones were missing.
The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Bwari, CSP Babayola Muhammad, had confirmed the incident.
Abba, in a condolence message in Abuja, described the deceased as “a disability advocate who championed the welfare of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the sudden death of Comrade Bala Tsoho, MFR. His tragic passing in his residence has left many of us heartbroken and devastated.
“His immense contributions to disability advocacy and empowerment will forever resonate in our hearts. His commitment to uplifting PwDs is a legacy we will strive to uphold’’ Isa said.
According to him, Tsoho’s demise left a vacuum, assuring that his legacies would remain and felt by many.
While praying to Almighty Allah to repose the soul of the departed, the presidential aide promised to champion the ideals and principles of which the deceased stand for.
“We will ensure that his vision for a just and inclusive society remains a priority because he was a leader who inspired many who shared in his passion for justice and equality “ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, the deceased as Principal, FCT Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, Kuchiko, played a vital role in vocational empowerment for PWDs.
His work had earned him the prestigious national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) for his contributions to disability rights and national progress. (NAN)
