LAGOS (Sundiata Post) – lThe N50 stamp duty recently introduced by the Federal Government to all bank holders in the country is now to be debited weekly, Sundiata Post gathered.
A statement available to Sundiata Post reads: “To reduce the number of Short Message Service (SMS)/ Email alerts on this charge, please be informed that the N50 Stamp Duty Charge will be debited every Monday for all qualifying transactions carried out the previous week”.

It will be recalled that in line with a recent directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the application of N50 Stamp Duty charge on every electronic transfer and cash/cheque of N1000 and above commenced on January 15, 2016 for all bank account holders in the country.
