MAKKAH (Saudi Arabia) – The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and the National Association for Hajj and Umra Tour Operators of Nigeria (NAHUTON) have met to review the 2014 Hajj operations.
The meeting was held in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the commission, Alhaji Muhammed Bello, represented by the Commissioner, Operations, Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar, commended the tour operators for a successful exercise.
He also congratulated all the pilgrims for witnessing this year’s Arafat in good health. [eap_ad_1]` We came with some pilgrims, but they could not make it to Arafat as a result of illnesses and death, which is Allah’s wish.’’
He said that the commission would assist the tour operators toward a successful Hajj operation, any time the need arose.
He urged the tour operators to exhibit professionalism in their handling of Hajj operations.
Responding, the President, NAHUTON, Alhaji Abdulfatah Abdulmajid, said that the essence of the meeting was to review the first segment of the operation and plan for the second aspect that involved the return airlift of pilgrims.
“We appreciate the role played by the commission; it has done creditably well in assisting the tour operators to demand for their rights,’’ he said. (NAN)[eap_aad_4]
