Nasarawa Council chairman urges peace, unity

NASARAWA – Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani, the Chairman Nassarawa Local Council Nassarawa State has urged the people to shun ethnic, and religious sentiments and embrace peace and unity, to ensure the the country.

Tijjani made the appeal on Monday while speaking with the News Agency Nigeria (NAN) at the council’s headquarters Nasarawa.

He appealed to the people to the present administration the state to enable it to execute more projects toward the the state and the country at large.

Tijjani said that the council ready and determined to the standard of living of its people, especially reducing  poverty among women and youths within the council area.

To this end, he said that the council planned to sink 10 boreholes various locations within the council.

He promised that the council would initiate more projects that would the living standard of the people and commended Gov Tanko Al-Makura for executing various projects in the state.

He said that the projects, when completed, would reduce the problem of water shortage being experienced by various communities within the area.

Tijjani disclosed that the projects would be located in Nasarawa, Ara and Udege Areas of the council.

He said that the projects were part of the made to the electorate. (NAN)
