Akwanga (Nasarawa State) – Mr Kwanta Yakubu, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth and Sports Development to Gov Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has urged Nigerians to live in peace and unity for the overall development of the country.
Yakubu made the call on Friday when he visited the state Deputy Speaker, Mr Nehemiah Dandaura (APC-Akwanga North), in his residence in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
He said that no society would achieve meaningful progress and development without peace, hence the need for cohesion by working in the same direction.
Yakubu, also a Special Adviser designate in the state, said that the visit was to collaborate with the lawmaker in order to ensure the success of the present administration in the state.
He also called on the people of the area and the state to support Sule administration’s policies and programmes in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
“There is the need for our people to give their maximum support to the present administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed in all aspects of governance.
“Especially that the governor is from Akwanga, we need our peoples’ total support and prayers to enable him succeed.
“The governor is doing well, it is in view of this that I want to call on our people to give the present administration their maximum support so as to take the state to the next level of development,” he said.
Kwanta thanked God and the governor of the state for elevating him to the position of Special Adviser, while assuring of his commitment to work tirelessly for the present administration to succeed.
Responding, Dandaura commended the governor’s aide for the solidarity visit.
He also called on the people of the area and the state to support the present administration to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The deputy speaker, who represents Akwanga North constituency, used the medium to assure his constituents of quality representation at the state legislature in order to improve on their standard of living.
He called on the people of the area to be their brother’s keeper, respect constituted authorities in the interest of peace and development.
