Keffi – Alhaji Bala Mulki, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, has trained more than 100 youths in different skills.
He told newsmen in Keffi on Thursday that the gesture was to enable the youths become self reliant and contribute their quota to national development.
Mulki, who is the Chairman, Dan Mulki Global Investment Nigeria Ltd, promised to empower more women, youths and the entire people of Keffi East constituency with skills to make them self reliant.
“I trained over 100 youths in different skills such as computer engineering and car wash business, among others, as some of them are on their own now while some are working in my organisation,’’ he said.
According to him, he would promote the welfare of the people of the constituency if elected to represent them at the state house of assembly in the 2019 general elections.
“As a businessman and a politician, I know how best to better the standard of living of my constituency, if elected.
“I will sponsor bills that have direct bearing on the lives of my people and the state at large.
“I will empower my people with skills as well as I will also give attention to agriculture by providing farm inputs to my people considering the importance of agriculture to national development,’’ he said.
Mulki, who is also the Chairman, Car Dealers Association, Keffi branch, renewed his aspiration to represent the area on the platform of APC.
“I did not step down for anybody, people should disregard such rumour. I am still in the race and by God’s grace I will win my primary election as well as the general election come 2019 in order to provide the much needed dividend of democracy to my people,” he said.
He called Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC in order to elect leaders of their choice.
The businessman drummed support for President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Tanko Al-Makura to enable them succeed in delivering more dividends of democracy.
Besides, Mulki called on Nigerians to shun violence, live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political affiliation to foster national development.
