Abuja – The Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports has shifted Wednesday’s re-run elections into four National Sports Federation boards to July 20, an official confirmed on Tuesday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the re-run elections into the athletics, gymnastics, weightlifting and taekwondo federations were as a result of the cancellation of the June 13 elections.
Tolu Makinde, Director of Information in the ministry, who confirmed the postponement said the boards’ inauguration would now hold on July 21.
NAN reports that the re-run was earlier scheduled to hold on July 12 while the board inauguration was to hold on July 20.
NAN also reports that this was the third time in two weeks the re-run and the inauguration would been postponed.(NAN)
