ABUJA – The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced April 23 as the jumpball for the first phase of the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League season.
This was contained in a statement by a member of the media committee Oluwafemi Adefeso on Sunday in Abuja.
The statement said the league was postponed because of the just-concluded general elections
The 16 teams participating in the first phase of the championship are: Customs, FCT Queens, Benue Princess, Plateau Rocks, Delta Force, AHIP Queens, Coal City Queens, Oluyole Babes and GT-2000.
Others are Immigration, IGP Queens, Taraba Hurricanes, Sunshine Angels, First Deepwater, Dolphins and defending champions First Bank.

The teams are expected to arrive Abuja on April 23 ahead of a technical meeting on the April 24.Matches would begin on April 25 at the National Stadium. (NAN)
