Abuja – The Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) says it will hold its 2016 international conference to reposition the country’s construction industry.
Mr Peter Mashen, the Public Relations Officer of NBRRI told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the conference was a flagship event, which began in 2011 and would hold from May24 to May 26 in Abuja.
He said that the summit with the theme: “Repositioning the Nigerian Construction Industry-Realities and Possibilities’’ was aimed at addressing issues and challenges critical in the construction industry.
“So as to proffer lasting solutions that will reposition the industry for enhanced performance, relevance and innovations to fast track socio-economic development.’’ He said.
Mashen said that the conference would discuss various topics that affect the construction industry.
He said that dignitaries expected at the conference include, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonaya Onu, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola.
Also expected at the summit are stakeholders in the building and construction industries. (NAN)
