Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday confirmed 136 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
This fresh infections jacked up the total confirmed cases to 58,198 out of which
49,722 patients have been treated and discharged after they tested negative, the report released by NCDC said.
The report also said that 1,106 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related complications since the index case in Nigeria on 27th February, 2020.
Out of these 136 new cases, Lagos recorded 41, Ogun-27, Rivers-19, Abia-10, Oyo and Plateau-6 each.
Others are Bauchi and Ondo-5 each, Ekiti and Kaduna-4 each, Edo-3, Ebonyi-2, Bayelsa, Delta, Osun and Yobe-1 each.
