Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday confirmed 137 new cases of COVID-19 Nigeria.
The report released by the health agency via it’s twitter handle stated that Lagos state, the epicentre of the novel virus infection led the table with 60 fresh cases followed by Abia with 21 while the FCT came third with 18 cases.
Others are Rivers-13; Kaduna-5;Oyo-4; Edo-3; Delta, Imo, Kano and Ogun-2 each while Bauchi, Gombe, Nasarawa, Niger and Osun recorded 1infection each.
The NCDC reported that the total confirmed cases have increased to 63,173 out of which 59,634 patients have been discharged. Adding that 1,151 lives had been lost to the pandemic since the index case in February 27 2020.
