Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday confirmed that 162 new cases of #COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria.
According to the report released via it’s twitter handle, the 162 new cases were recorded from 16 out of 36 states of the federation and the FCT as follows:
Lagos-53; Gombe-21; Oyo-19; Delta-12;
Ondo-11; Plateau-10; Ebonyi-9; FCT-6;
Kwara-6; Kaduna-5; Rivers-3; Ogun and Anambra-2 each; Imo-2 and Ekiti-1.
The health agency noted that the total confirmed cases is now 54,905 our of which
42,922 have been discharged while 1,054 lives have been lost to the novel virus pandemic since index case was recorded in late February, 2020 in the country.
