Abuja – Mr John-Kennedy Opara, the Executive Secretary, National Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), has said that the commission will collaborate with church leaders to sensitise Christians on its “Win a trip to Israel” Lottery programme.
Opara made this known at the forum of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.
He said that the commission is organising a conference scheduled to hold on Feb. 23, to bring together the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), to discuss the importance of the lottery scheme.
He said that once the ongoing sensitisation programme was completed, a date would be picked to launch the lottery scheme and the sale of tickets to everyone would commence
“We are still doing what is called sensitization which will climax with summit we are organising to hold on Feb. 23.
“Yesterday, I was at the Catholic Bishops Conference, where I spoke to all the church; I addressed them on the need for the church to partner with us and the need for the church to understand what we are doing.
“I will be addressing the leadership of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) on that Feb. 23 too, so that they would run with the same vision with us,’’ he said.
Opara said that the lottery tickets were currently being produced, adding that all the foundations were being laid.
He added that the two operators of the scheme were already working
