Port Harcourt -The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), on Thursday, expressed its desire to partner with journalists for the development of the region.
Mr Dan Abia, the Managing Director of the commission, stated this during an interactive session with journalists in Port Harcourt.
Abia, who acknowledged the role of the media in national development, said that the needed partnership was imperative.
‘’The commission, in keeping with its mandate to drive development in the region, cannot achieve it alone without partnership with the media.
‘’We sincerely believe in the genuine development of this region hence we shall continue to meet occasionally for progress’’, the MD said.
He said the commission would hold Partnership Sustainable Development (PSD) meeting which would commence from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.
According to Abia, the essence of the meeting was to review the development so far made by NDDC in the region.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
