Gombe – The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has trained 50 women on basic business skills of making cosmetics, perfumes, soap and insecticide for domestic use.
The state NDE Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Audu, who spoke at the end of the training in Gombe on Thursday, charged them to utilise the knowledge impacted to them positively.
He said that the objective of the programme was to create more job opportunities among women to be self-reliant and to reduce the pressure on their husbands.

He said the trainees were expected to be self-reliant and to train others to benefit from the experience in their respective local governments areas at the end of the training.
Audu said that at the end of the training the beneficiaries were expected to write feasibility reports that would be use for accessing loan from bank for them to establish a full time business.
Earlier, the NDE Director-General, Malam Abubakar Mohammed, represented by the Zonal Director, Mr Gabs Gatiya, enjoined the women to take the training with all seriousness. (NAN)
