DUTSE – The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Jigawa said it had concluded plans to train 50 women in various trades as part of initiative to boost women’s economic empowerment in the state.
The state NDE Coordinator, Mr Muhammad Sambo, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Dutse.
He said that the women would be trained in soap, pomade and air freshener making.
Sambo said that the exercise would be conducted in Dutse Local Government Area.

The coordinator, therefore, urged women in the area to enrol for the proramme.
According to him, the training was aimed at encouraging women to engage in productive activities and to enhance their economic status.
Sambo also said that the gesture was aimed at developing small-scale businesses at the grassroots.(NAN)
