GUSAU – The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Zamfara, on Monday in Gusau commenced a two-week training for 50 women on shoes and bags making.
The State’s NDE Coordinator, Alhaji Muhammad Alhassan said the training was part of the efforts of the

Federal Government to provide jobs to all.
“The programmes of NDE are not meant for men alone, there are also some programmes that are [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10”]targeted at women considering their contributions to the society.
“For that reason, the directorate has decided to train the selected 50 women on the use of `Adire’ and [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]`Atamfa’ to make lady bags and shoes,” he said.
The coordinator called on the participants to use the knowledge acquired from the training to venture [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]into businesses that would better their lives.
The Zamfara Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Balkisu Ibrahim commended the NDE for including women into its programmes.
One of the participants, Hajiya Amina commended NDE for the training and urged the participants to cooperate with the directorate to make the training a success. (NAN)
