Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Managing Director of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Umaru Ibrahim has informed that the corporation is poised to tackle the challenges facing financial institutions in Nigeria.
Umaru disclosed this on Wednesday to National Assembly correspondents shortly after his interactive session with Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions.
The NDIC boss who commended the interaction of the corporation with the Senate committee, noted that such periodic interaction will enhance better understanding of the workings of NDIC by the upper legislative chamber.
The NDIC boss said he was pleased to honour the invitation extended to them by the senate, pointing out that the meeting has offered them the opportunity to interact with members of the committee with the view to understand each other for a better working relationship that will help in building the nation financial institutions.
According to him, the interaction has offered the committee the opportunity to understand and appreciate the role of NDIC and the challenges ahead.
