Popular stand-up comedian in Nigeria, Princess has said that her marriage collapsed two weeks after wedding due to irreconcilable differences and negative media reports about her and her husband.
Princess said this on Sunday during an interview on an entertainment programme, Rubbin’ Minds, on Channels Television
The comedian also registered her dissatisfaction with different tasteless and ‘terrible’ stories that were published on the internet before and after her marriage, which she claimed contributed to why the marriage failed. [eap_ad_2] “My marriage ended in May, two weeks after the wedding. It is like a mystery. Based on the fact that individual differences came up that led to the collapse of the marriage after two weeks, I do not think that it was a normal thing for me to begin to declare to everybody that my marriage has ended.
“My Family and the guy’s family believed that we could all make it happen so we tried. But around July, things came back but was not so smooth. When everything finally ended it was really very painful and all that. I didn’t tell nobody, but surprisingly, people in London were already aware of it,” she said.
She said that there were so much pressure that came from the publications and irreconcilable differences, which led to the collapse of the marriage.
“Nobody goes into a marriage expecting that it would end.
“The guy is not like us – on-air personalities. We have our limits and I know that negative media contributed to it. There was a day he came home and told me he saw a post on the internet that talked about me being pregnant and that it was why I was getting married,” Princess said.[eap_ad_3]
