ABUJA (SUNDIATA POST)- Dr Ibrahim Kana, the new Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace, has called for the collaboration of ministry staff to advance the aviation industry.
Kana made this call during his remarks at the handover ceremony in Abuja on Monday, where he succeeded Dr Emmanuel Meribole, the outgoing Permanent Secretary.
He emphasised that effective collaboration among aviation staff was essential to improving productivity, as well as promoting security and safety within the industry.
“My deployment to the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace is quite timely. Upon receiving my deployment letter, I was given two key tasks to achieve.
“One is to ensure the establishment of Nigeria Air, and the other is to sanitise the airports across the country. I believe there is no better time to establish Nigeria Air than now.
“Therefore, my primary task is to work closely with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, to realise the Renewed Hope agenda of His Excellency, Mr. President,” he said.
Earlier, Meribole, thanked the Directors of the Ministry for their support during his tenure and urged them to extend the same level of cooperation to the new Permanent Secretary.(NAN)
