New FRIN boss pledges to embark on capacity building


IBADAN – Dr Adesola Adepoju, the newly appointed Executive Director of Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN),Ibadan, has promised to embark on capacity building and infrastructural development in the institution.
Adepoju said this during an interactive session with workers of the institute on assumption of duty on Wednesday.

” My mission in FRIN is to embark on capacity building, infrastructural development and galvanising publicity for all FRIN activities,” he said.
He said that these would be achieved by harnessing the potentials of committed staff of the institute and rewarding them.
Adepoju, however, admonished all members of staff to embrace discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The new Executive Director is a graduate of Agricultural Economy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He was the Provost of the Federal College of Forestry, Jos, before the latest appointment.
Adepoju took over from Prof. Solomon Badejo who has retired. (NAN)
