Abuja, Jan. 1, 2015 (NAN) Fun seekers in Abuja on Thursday commended the police and other security agencies over security measures put in place to protect lives and property at fun centres.
Some of them who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) attributed the high patronage at fun centres to police assurance to protect the populace.

Mr Benjamin Kekong, who was seen at Abuja Wonderland with his family, commended security agents and the management of the centre over security arrangements at the centre.
He said that screening of fun seekers at the point of entry at the centre was a step in the right direction toward ensuring safety.
He added that “the turnout of fun seekers here is quite high in spite of the fact that the entry fee has increased from N3,000 which
I paid during my last visit to N4,000 now.

“With the assurances we are getting from security agencies, I urge them to translate it to reality and ensure that lives and property are secured in the country in the new year and beyond.’’
Mr Ezekiel Ovye, another fun seeker at the Millennium Park, Abuja, also expressed satisfaction over security arrangements at the park.
He said “with what I have seen here, one will not believe that we still have security challenges in this country.’’
Meanwhile, a NAN correspondent who visited the centres reported that there was high turnout of fun seeker at the various relaxation centres.
Consequently, a large number of people had to park their vehicles at far distance and trek to the centres because of inadequate parking space. (NAN)
