ABUJA – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday said it had yet to take a decision on the matters brought against Vincent Enyeama, the Super Eagles goalkeeper and team’s Head Coach Stephen Keshi.
Chris Green, Chairman of the NFF Disciplinary Committee who said this in interview with newsmen in Abuja after its meeting noted that the matter against Enyeama would now be treated in-house.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Enyeama and Stephen Keshi, the Super Eagles Head Coach were expected to appear before to explain themselves in their respective matters with the NFF.
Enyeama was to appear before the committee for not responding to a query from the NFF following a comment he made on the choice of Kaduna for the team’s match against Chad on June 13.
Keshi, appeared before the committee to defend his alleged application for the Cote d’Ivoire job.
His name had appeared on the shortlist of candidates for the post of coach of the Elephants, the senior national team of the Ivoriens.
Green, however, said the case against Keshi would be investigated further but pointed out that the committee would forward the outcome of its meeting to the NFF Executive Committee before further investigation.
“In the case of Enyeama, we want this matter dealt with internally, in-house and quietly; the noise that this thing has generated is uncalled for.
“Situations where people will pre-judge even before the persons have appeared did not even help matters.
“I will say that people should be allowed to do their job and at the same time wait for decisions because it’s been sent to the board for the next line of action.

“In the case of Keshi, the case is inconclusive because we want to be thorough in what we are doing.
“We want to get to the bottom of the entire thing which will even take us to Cote d’Ívoire, ’’ Green said. (NAN)
