Seven candidates have been given the go ahead to battle for the NFF presidency by the electoral committee
The Nigeria Football Federation Electoral Committee on Thursday cleared seven aspirants to contest the Nigeria Football Federation presidential election.
One time Secretary General of the football house, Taiwo Ogunjobi tops the list of the contestants that also included Abba Yola, Pinnick Amaju, Domimic Iorfa, Shehu Dikko, Mike Umeh and Amanze Uchegbulam.
The electoral body also name four candidates for NFF 1st Vice-President election. They are Emeka Inyama, Adamu Shehu, Seyi Akinwunmi and Suleyman Muazu.[eap_ad_2]
Sampson Ebomhe, the Chairman of electoral body confirmed the exclusion of the winner of the controversial NFF presidential election last month Christopher Giwa and former Nigeria captain Segun Odegbami from the race because they “failed to write the committee to express their willingness to participate in the election.”
The elections will take place in Warri, Delta State on September 30, 2014. (goal.com)
